MAJ Ashley Young

MAJ Ashley Young grew up in Newberry, SC and has served in the SCARNG for 18 years. She served as an Administrative Specialist for eight years prior to commissioning through the Palmetto Military Academy in 2010.

She has held various positions in the Logistics field to include Platoon Leader, 1055 Transportation Company; Battalion Maintenance Officer, 1050th Transportation Battalion; S4, 1050th Transportation Battalion; Commander, 1052nd Transportation Company; and is currently the BDE S1, 228th TTSB. She has one combat deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. She served ten years as a full-time employee for SCARNG in various positions; Family Assistant Specialist, Survivor Outreach Services Coordinator, and the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is currently self-employed.

MAJ Young holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Experimental Psychology and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. She is an active member of the Brookland Baptist Church and enjoys spending time with family and friends during her free time.
