MAJ Partrese Barr

MAJ Partrese Barr was raised in Batesburg-Leesville, SC and has served in the SCARNG for 18 years. She served as an enlisted Soldier and Non-Commissioned Officer in the administrative field for six years prior to accepting her commission. She held various positions in the Logistics field to include Platoon Leader, 742nd Maintenance Company; Materiel Management Officer, 751st Combat Sustainment Support Battalion; Commander, 1053rd Transportation Company; S4, 1050th Transportation Battalion; Support Operations Officer, 1050th Transportation Company; and Executive Officer, 351st Aviation Support Battalion. She has one combat deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. MAJ Barr is a certified Army Basic Instructor and an authorized OSHA instructor. She served as the SCARNG’s Safety Manager for ten years prior to transitioning to her current position as Administrative Officer for 351st Aviation Support Battalion.

MAJ Barr holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Military Science from the University of South Carolina and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. She volunteers at local community service organizations and attends a Baptist church in Columbia. In her free time she enjoys distance runs, trail runs, and CrossFit.
