CPT Ambyr Palmer
CPT Ambyr M. Palmer was born in Hartford, CT, and served in the South Carolina Army National Guard(SCARNG) from Sept 2004-June 2018. Her first assignment was in Company B, 163rd Support Battalion in Orangeburg, SC. After commissioning from the Reserve Officers Training Course (ROTC) in December 2008 at South Carolina State University, she became a Platoon Leader with the 741st Quartermaster Company in Barnwell, SC. Her additional assignments consists of Executive Officer for the 193rd Infantry Brigade; Platoon Leader/Accountable Officer, 742nd Support Maintenance Company which included a deployment to Afghanistan; Plans Officer for the SCARNG Yellow Ribbon JFHQ; Instructor for 218th LDR Regiment OCS; and BN S1, HHC Commander and BN S4 for the 751st Combat Sustainment Support Battalion. In June 2018, CPT Palmer transitioned into the United States Army Reserves (USAR). She currently serves as the BDE S4 with the 1189th Transportation Surface Brigade (USAR). In her Civilian Career, CPT Palmer is a Logistics Management Specialist with 81st Readiness Division.
CPT Palmer received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Family and Consumer Science Business with a concentration in Child Development from South Carolina State University. She also received her Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from Webster University. She is an active member of the Brookland Baptist Church and an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She spends her free time with family and friends. She currently resides in Lexington, SC with her husband, Dezmond and their son Dastan.
